i have so many things to be thankful for this year. my amazing family, boyfriend, friends and job are such a blessing to me and the holidays make me feel so appreciative of these gifts.

love this collection derek lam put out for pre-fall. several of the pieces are structured very minimally, but with pops of color that make the outfit really fun and bright.

.holiday stompers.

holiday season equals heavy weekend schedules, sugar cookies, white elephant gifts, tree trimmings, and of course the occasional ugly sweater. what better time is there also in the year than to add a metallic pump to the mix? finally i have found an alternative to the go-to black heel; these kicks i found in the black friday frenzy, amidst a crowd of similar women thinking, what to wear for my upcoming office/friend's/boyfriend's/family holiday party??

these will be making the rounds to several of the above this season.

.metal flowers.

among some of my favourite things to do is to go to my favorite thrift store to jewelery hunt. i found these beautiful gold metal flowers for a dollar on my last visit and i can't wait to show them off. the one drawback to them is that they are clip-on and sit a little high on my ear lobes....i have to figure out a better way to wear them, perhaps on a necklace or bracelet?

oh the possibilities.

.holiday leopard, a style evolution.

what better way to start a monday morning off than to think about next weekend's outings and what newbies in the wardrobe will be showcased? not much i don't think. so please see exhibit A below. my closet has never been a huge animal print supporter, something about the busy-ness of the print made me weary of it, even in small doses. this top however, made me change my spots, o lala! found this treasure while flipping through the pixie market website here. i think it's the mix of the valentino frill with the dolce & gabbana rawrrrr. and i'm still thinking about the slippers from the target x neinman marcus collection found here.

.miss joan smalls.

it seems you cannot flip through any fashion magazine without seeing the beautiful joan smalls, the puerto rican supermodel. i as a filipino-american, get mistaken for several different ethnicities, which i adore; i love the idea that my looks cannot be pin-pointed to just one country or origin. seeing emerging models of different ethnicity's coming to the forefront of fashion is always so inspiring, it makes me happy see diversity mixed with great style.

.funk-tional and weekend plans.

tonight i paired my trampoline with two pairs of kicks, both with completely different adventures in mind. to the left, bianca, is ready for a festive holiday party, which would include dinner, drinks and dancing....so fun and sparkly. to the right, hudson, is ready for a relaxing brunch, followed by window shopping and hiding in its favourite nook in barnes and nobles....perfect for a saturday afternoon.

.its show time!.

i'm baaaaccckkk!! it's been a nice hiatus from the lpt blog, but the quiet bliss must come to an end, and i'm ready to contribute again....it's nice to see people have been stopping by to check up though! so to kick off my return, i thought i'd share one of my guilt pleasures of being a girl.

since my teens ive gotten uber-excited for the annual victoria secret show. it's fun, silly, energetic, and frilly.....perfect to get you in the holiday spirit, yay!!
