below are a couple of treasures recently added to my closet. i haven't walked into a guess for years-and was thrilled to find this rich blue blouse, the print is perfectly retro. at my favorite vintage store i found the airplanes and the large baubled necklace- love and can't wait to wear in the upcoming hot months. and finally, the most treasured of it all, a gorgeous heirloom  gold necklace and matching earrings my father gifted to my mother years ago. the detail to these pieces is so remarkable and i will be cautiously rocking, until an older sister takes them from me.

as most of my friends have probably noticed, i love a long dress-and i never wear minis. the women that can pull them off i have huge respect for (and sometimes envy), but to walk out in one for me would be an awkward form of torture noone would want to experience. with that said, i perused the topshop website and styled looks i would wear for a night out in heat.

i love that the shoes can stand on their own and offset the simplicity of each dress.

i'm so excited to see the collaboration doo ri is doing with macys. i have followed doo ri chung's collections since 2004; the cut and drape of her work is phenomenal, and the overall simplicity of the pieces is so impressive. i cannot wait to see the below, im sure there will be no disappointment.
