- tilda on her fascination with her father's style
august's w magazine is the perfect escape post hectic work day. tilda swinton is featured this month with an interesting article on her oscar dress by lanvin's alber elbaz and her acting slash fashion inspirations. famous for her androgynous image, her pictures are a bit spooky but beautifully crafted. continuing to flip through (backwards of course which is how i typically get through fashion magazines) i was pleasantly surprised that giovanni battaglia has a monthly section entitled "gio's journal" a picture diary of travel, experiences and people she has encountered over the past month. overall, w made for a fantastic night and i'm now considering a permanent subscription.

I really admire Tilda Swinton and her sense of style that goes beyond the usual schemes. Her Jil Sander wardrobe in "Io sono l'amore" and the Haider Ackermann dress she was wearing in Cannes are just some examples of this. As for Gio Battaglia, she is a great Italian fashion maven, and I would love to steal from her wardrobe...
