table for one please

this post is two-fold, one half cooking, one half book recommendation. in the book section of goodwill (another great area of the store) i found the best seller entitled, 'french women don't get fat' by mireille guiliano. i have heard of this book a few times and am happily surprised it was worth the purchase. while her eating tips are useful and entertaining, my favorite part of the book are its recipes. having a boyfriend with a gluten allergy kicked my cooking interest, somewhat lacking until recently, into high gear. tonight i decided to pick two easy recipes (salad & dessert) from the book paired with a yummy broiled salmon. presentation is also key-peep my favorite dinner plates by midcentury designer paul mccobb, gifted by my sister.

all three recipes are simple, delicious and super healthy. link below to the book and read on for recipes.

oh the food looks really good--i'm really not into cooking, so it's always nice to see the other great foods people make.
