i wear alot of solids, and usually have no more than three colors on at the one time. i think it has to do with my height and not wanting to stunt it with alot of busy-ness. cédric charlier, cacharel's head designer does a great job of mixing both pattern and solids. below are images from his fall rtw 2011 line.
